The main function of this column base is to link the column to the concrete footing surface and thereby transmit the structure's stresses to the foundation. The CBSQ uses Strong Drive SDS Heavy Duty Connector screws (included), which allow for fast installation and reduced reveal, and provide a greater net section area of the column than bolts. This is a very horrible material and poorly made suit, I have never bought anything this bad in amazon before, the crazy thing is that I returned this thing to get a refund and they shipped back the exact same garbage back to me.
